Lap 8 Al Mullet shunted Jim McMillan in
turn two. McMillan retaliated in turn 4. Larry Olson threw the black
flag for both to leave the track. Mullet parked his car at the flag
stand and got out to argue with Olson. Mullet then went to the pits
to argue with the officials. He came back out behind McMillan (who
had not left the track). Olson stopped the race to get both off the
track. Both McMillan and Mullet got out to say there was no problem
(McMillan had his arm around Mullet like they were buddies). Both
eventually went off the track.

a Memorial Day (ahead) cartoon
I suppose Monday is actually Memorial Day in the U.S. Used to be the 30th I believe. And the Indy 500 would be run on the 30th. But now it's run on the Sunday ahead of the Memorial Day Monday.
Long weekends are great.
The cartoon is a classic by Bill Mauldin from the Second World War.
