I've probably posted this before. Norm Ellefson inducted into the Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame. Clipping from the March 15, 2012 Cheney (WA) newspaper.

a column by Victoria's Jack Smith
This is interesting. In 1953 Victoria's Jack Smith (posthumously inducted into the Victoria Auto Racing Hall of Fame and the Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame) wrote a weekly automotive column for the Victoria Daily Times. This is the first one.

1964 Edmonton
Did a little digging into Edmonton. Came up with this from 1964. Both Ray Peets and Norm Ellefson are in the Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame.

Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame inductee Jimmy Carr
An article on Jimmy Carr, back in his racing days at Skagit Speedway, before he raced with the World of Outlaws and then became crew chief for the winning sprint cars of Tony Stewart.
Carr was scheduled to be inducted into the Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame in Toronto, Saturday, September 28, 2013. Haven't read anything on it yet.
Also in the profile is driver Roy Blumenhagen.

Jimmy Carr, from Haney, into the Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame
This is somewhat old news, but here's a video of Jimmy being interviewed.
I've been watching some late 1980s videos of Skagit Speedway's Dirt Cup. Jimmy Carr was setting track records at that point in his sprint car and about ready to move to the World of Outlaws, to race and then to be chief mechanic.
The big ceremony will be in Toronto, in late September.
