On teevee Halloween night
I've mentioned Mel Anthony before. The half hour video, "Smoke, Sand and Rubber" will be broadcast on Seattle's PBS station Halloween night at 10:30 p.m.
Here's the trailer:
Set your VCRs, DVRs, PVRs, or just watch it.

new video about Mel Anthony, screening debut
This looks great. I've posted a previous clip from YouTube a while ago. Here's the trailer:
It appears it is a 30 minute look at Mel with about 50 minutes of extras.
Go here for more info.
A Don Olds extra from the DVD:
I think there is a screening of this DVD at the Shoreline Museum, just north of Seattle, May 31st. Wish I could be there.

Mel Anthony still running midgets
I think I've mentioned Mel Anthony once or twice before. Here's a documentary being made about him and his racing exploits from way back and not so way back.
Great link here on Mel. Scroll down to find some pdf downloads of Northwest racing publications.

sights and sounds, Mel Anthony

Mel Anthony, back in the Spokane area. Click this link and there is a download of Mel's recent run in a midget he and his son, Dennis, campaign with the Golden Wheels group.
The clipping below is from the Spokesman Review back in 1954.
