Bonus time, an extra strip to finish off Death Drives a Midget. King can sure jump to conclusions as well as jump an out of control midget race car. Too bad the same can't be said of Shorty Spade:

Second last installment of this series of King. The kid is drugged by the soda pop, King knows he has to make his move, and so does Shorty. Shorty moves first, and it's a drastic move at that:

Shorty finds out that his plan hasn't worked and the kid is affect by the lemon soda:

It looks bad for Cyclone and better for Shorty until one thing changes, Cyclone doesn't follow the plan Shorty's laid out:

Cyclone wins the semi-final as does Shorty. Shorty heads off to get his plan to win in motion:

The mystery continues with King and Cyclone trying to ensure that nothing bad happens to the car Cyclone will drive. But Shorty has a different plan:

King has to solve who has murdered two and prevented a third from happening, but the only way to do it is to let the plan concocted by the real murderer to have the championship race run again. Cyclone isn't so sure. Not sure I'd be so sure, either:

King works the evidence like a good member of the force does and comes up with a chilling discovery -- the killer is still at large and no doubt still after Cyclone Bill:

King of the Mounted works out the problems the evidence is presenting to him. He finds what Humpy said he'd find. Now to check the rest:

King continues to solve the mysteries in "Death Drives a Midget". Humpy denies that he killed anyone but seems resigned to his fate because he started the wheels rolling on these murders:

More King. Nep, Humpy's nephew and helper, is heard being killed. King and Cyclone find him, while the real killer gets away, and then Humpy shows up:

King continues. Humpy finds out his helper didn't do it. Shorty overhears the argument and decides to continue in his horrible ways:

King continues, as does the investigation. But Shorty Spade has a plan to get Cyclone into his midget to race again. A dastardly plan no doubt:

Been a week. Catching up on sleep, or something. But King of the Mounted's Death Drives a Midget continues! Drake is dead from the accident, King has spotted and removed the faulty part, Shorty thinks he's in the clear, Cyclone is in the lead after the restart:
