Looking in my archives (buying time) I found these two from 1999. I don't think they've been used in this blog yet.

another feature Weekend magazine story
The recent Canadian Grand Prix reminds me of my early introduction to the sport. It came from the pages of the Weekend magazine in the Vancouver Sun. Again, wish it was in glorious colour, but until I find a cheap copy for myself b&w microfilm will have to do.

a feature story in the old Weekend magazine
The magazine used to be added to the Vancouver Sun on a Saturday. Lots of colour.
Unfortunately this story on Scott Wilson, AA/FD driver from Ontario, is in black and white off the microfilm.

Hemrich started in the back of the
inverted field. On lap seven he spun putting him to the back again.
He moved up to second with ten laps to go, challenging Ron Eaton for
the lead, only to hit the wall and bend his tie rods. His front right
camber was out but he held on to finish second.
Harold Hardesty, Medford, OR, again
couldn't get a good finish after three visits to the track.

motorcycle beach race, 1959 White Rock
Once in a while something new is mentioned and I can find some info on it.
I was asked if I knew anything about a motorcycle beach race at White Rock in 1959 and 1960.
I didn't. But I've managed to get a little info on the 1959 race.
