Langley Speedway, August 1, 1965
Sources are from the local daily newspapers: Sun, Province and Columbian.
2500 in attendance.
A lot of double winners:
Ralph Monhay, #33, won both the A modified dash and A modified main.
Carmen Parton, #00, won both the early late dash and early late main.
Bill Terry, #9, won both the stock dash and stock main.
Denny Goldstraw won the B modified main, while Ken Klatt, #88, won the B modified dash.
There were a lot of rollover trophies handed out as well:
In the stock class Frank McCabe, Danny Dow and Bill Terry. The Terry flip is interesting as he also won. Must have happened during a heat race and not been too serious.
Albert Rock, in the early late class, also rolled over as did Frank Carr.
The photo might not come from that day but, as noted, Frank McCabe is in the middle of a wreck. From the Frank McCabe collection via Ralph Monhay.
