Along with the Victoria crowd at Western Speedway a few out of towners made the ferry ride to race in 1962. For the Daffodil Cup Portland's Art Pollard finished second behind Billy Foster. And at the season's end some False Creek Speedway early-lates showed up, including Ralph Widdess, Jack Martin and Gordy Hemrich.
