According to the Vancouver Sun Gary qualified for the 500. His speed is off of the pole sitter, Curtis Turner, but, again, no record of Gary in the race.
The only thing that I would like to see is some sort of qualifying sheets for the race. That might sort out if his name shows up at all.
Oh, and by the way, Mario Andretti won the big race in 1967.
