Message from Ralph Monhay that Doug Larson, Quesnel, BC, 4 time CAMRA champion, passed away yesterday from a heart attack.
I believe he was 62 years old judging from the attached clipping from the 1977 Open Wheel yearbook.
A few years ago, when CASCAR first appeared as part of the Molson Indy weekend, I spoke briefly with his son, Ron, about his dad. Nothing too important except that I knew who he was and what he'd accomplished.
More information as I get it.
